Joy Olabisi Akpaida, professionally called Bisi Akpaida is a media trained with evolving past and names which includes Okoduwa and Monu. A publicist with over 18 years of work experience in radio, television and print: producing and presenting major developmental, educational and public enlightenment programmes for broadcast and print.
Bisi Akpaida started her university career at the Lagos State University, LASU where she obtained a degree in Industrial Relations and Personal Management, IRPM. Feeling very unsatisfied with the programme, she moved on to fulfilling her flare for writing and joined the Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA in 2003. Her Journalism profession began from the International institute of journalism in 2005 as a student activist after she was elected to become the SUG President of the institute.
As the SUG president IIJ, she worked with her team of vibrant executive to produce the widely accepted school magazine titled The Journalist. It was aimed at putting back the spotlight on the interrogator while she also served as a stringer with News Day Newspaper and Public Relations Officer PRO - Wadata Chambers Abuja. Realising the need to specialize on the profession, Bisi Akpaida chose the radio because it afforded her an opportunity to be heard only. And this covered up for her shy nature.
She, started with Vision FM (92.1) Abuja as an Independent Radio Producer/Presenter, moved to the FRCN, Kapital FM (92.9) as an Artist- radio reporter, presenter, producer and editor of a literary programme, Literaryminds and pidgin news Country Tori. As the proverbial golden fish, vibrant, inquisitive and ready to learn Bisi, was picked to present Labour Market on NTA Intl. with the Nigerian Television Authority, Headquarters, Abuja. This became the beginning of a new era with great referrals as a media manager on the job.
2013, Bisi Akpaida sealed her first appointment as a communications manager with Bush House Nigeria, Abuja. Having gathered major experience and the quest to know more about media operations; she registered a media company afterwards to provide content for television and radio, produce jingles, documentaries and programmes until her journey till date began in 2015 with Daar Communications Plc. From the headquarters, owners of RayPower Fm, AIT, Faaji Fm and DaarSat.
As Head Programmes/Presentation and Head Radio (Raypower FM) Benin since 2016 till date the journey has been quite challenging and motivating. In line with the company’s reorganisation, she was recently recommended by top management in 2020 to also Head the AIT Benin and Act as the Head of the Centre to oversee all business and management concerns with regards to TV and Radio at the Benin Centre.

TV Documentary - Co-produced a documentary on ‘The Impact of Drought, Conflict and environmental degradation on the food security and livelihoods of affected communities in Nigeria’.
Currently, a presenter of the popular radio programme ‘As E Dey Hot’ on RayPower (105.5) Fm Benin, Edo State, Nigeria.
